It's Fuji! Taken on December 21st, 2003 at dusk from a 500ke Nozomi Shinkansen. Fuji is still considered an active volcano, yet it hasn't erupted since 1707, or 297 years ago. Let me hope it lasts another year because I don't live far enough away from it if it does blow.

Another year has come and gone. Wow, that was fast! Kids grow bigger, my hairline receds a little farther, and I get to learn a few new tricks, like more ways to format html... hmm, or ways not to format html.

Yuki turns 6, Nami turns 4, and Skye turns 2.

Now it is 2004, the year of the monkey,, and hopefully things are good for everyone this year.

So sit back, have a banana like the ones shown on the right, and enjoy the show... er the page... er whatever.

These are only the fastest scheduled-run trains in the world at 300km/h, and they look pretty neat to boot.

Nozomi means "wish" in Japanese... which is rather odd considering you don't really want to "wish" the train stays on the track, or "wish" the person sitting next to you doesn't have a bad case of gas. I guess if you "wish" to get somewhere else and you happen to live near the Shinkansen track, then your wish can come true.
